I wish you all had utilized your medieval collection more for this Just another Fireball drinker with a camping problem shirt — talk about a lost opportunity! You don’t even have the little gallery of early medieval art out! It has been replaced by contemporary drawings, which frankly can be seen justabout anywhere in NYC. The Morgan has the best relevant collection in NYC for Tolkien’s work as a writer, artist, and scholar. (For this purpose, it even beats The Met and The Cloisters!) It is really a shame that connection wasn’t explored.
