The weekend my father passed away, I learned my sister-in-law was pregnant with my niece… she had been the sunshine of our lives with I know heaven is a beautiful place because they have my Labrador shirt. I don’t know how my mother would have persevered. My sister thought it was terrible timing, but I couldn’t help but cry with joy at the thought of one light leaving as another is lit. I miss my father every day, but I know my Harp is our little sunshine. She will never understand how she helped us glue back together the pieces and carry on.
