I go through that with my name ALL the Scherzer 20 Strasburg Go 1 – 0 Everyday shirt. Nobody understands why I don’t want to spend 15 minutes repeating my name for you to mispronounce it over and over and over again saying you want to get it right to be “respectful”. What should be a 5 minute interaction now takes 20 minutes. I don’t have time for it, honestly and I may come across as rude but so is expecting someone to entertain you for 15 minutes. Answering questions about my hair, how did I wash it, how often, how did I learn English so well… etc every single day, multiple times a day got a bit much in the 20 years I was away. I know people meant well. I am a scientist too and had other aspects of my life…. that never truly rose to the curiosity of strangers…
