Big Gay Ken was completely different (bet you thought I was going to say Big Gay Al). Extremely bright, Ken had the most caustic wit I’ve ever encountered. Ken, bright as he was, never got it. “Kangaroo? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!” he’d shout for the entire unit to hear. I say shout, but that was Ken’s normal conversational level.

Unemployment hit multi-decade lows, GDP growth was strong and healthy, the Federal Reserve was normalizing interest rates, and inflation was well within expectations. The long term ramifications of that are up for debate, but in the short run after-tax income of companies were going up. In other words, the fundamental portion of the stock market was strong.

I told my cousin’s wife to let the FIL have some freedom in the kitchen. She wanted to throw out all the old furniture, vessels ,etc. I told her to hold on ….maybe for a few months at least . She used to sit all day watching the TV and that would irritate my uncle. And for anyone, it is difficult to stay with FIL all day long, so I advised her to go some cookery , dance, art or any class for an hour or two so that it would refresh her mind and give her some break. But alas! She did what she deemed best , threw all the old furniture and vessels out , took over the kitchen and dumped my uncle in an old age home. In the end, I learnt my lesson, if someone wants to really live with someone, they will find a way. Else , they will find everything and anything wrong with that person. No point in giving advise…..we will be wasting our time.

I would like to say that, because I know the Some of us grew up listening to Tom Petty vintage shirt Hoodie, Sweter Shirt for celebrating Christmas, and because my life is much less complicated these days, and because I pretty much have my bipolar under control, that I am now a Christmas fanatic. But it just isn’t so. This year, it will just be my parents and me for Christmas…the first year ever that the whole family isn’t gathering at my folks home…. and in hopes of making it nicer for my parents, I offered to cook a traditional holiday meal (y’all pray for me) and I put up the tree and bought a couple of gifts for my mom and dad… wrapped and under the tree. I am once again late in getting to the bank to get all the 20 dollar bills I need to dole out to my grandkids for Christmas. But they won’t mind; they know me. So how do I really feel? I feel relieved that I don’t have to cook for and clean up after 40 people. I feel honored because I am able to do something nice for my parents on Christmas Day, but as for the Christmas Cheer? Well, I almost finished off my bottle of that, and hope I have time to make a run to the liquor store before the big day arrives.
