Bruce, I agree it is an inspiring mantra. I began this journey last November. I have been through surgery, chemo, radiation, tests and more tests, a sprained ankle and wrist which take longer to heal thanks to chemo and my mind and body refusing to be in sync. There’s my blessing really, my mind still thinks I can conquer the world and I set off I’m Thankful For My Preschool Turkeys Tee Thanksgiving Gift T-Shirt, then my body kicks in to remind me of my limits. It’s hard to not feel as a failure and constantly remind oneself that I’m healing. It takes time. Trust God. Learn the lessons. By forcibly having to slow down I’ve met beautiful people, shared wonderful moments and appreciate things I probably would have missed. I love how this woman says she’s “going to do as many as I can”. She’s my inspiration for today as I sit resting because getting to the hospital used up my spoons. Recharging as I watch the NYC hustle and bustle. Then I’ll jump back in.
