When my dog died I couldn’t eat or sleep or find any way to find joy. I loved her more than any person. My boyfriend at the time took me to get a drink at Starbucks because a latte usually makes me feel warm and gooey on a regular day. I managed and there was a dog on the patio who was playing with its owner and had a big smile and as soon as I was near, it stopped and looked so serious and came right up to me and looked in my eyes and nuzzled into me. The owner had no idea that her dog just saved me in some way but I could tell she knew something was wrong with me. Dogs are amazing creatures. They are just better than us, they are pure. I’m so happy she will have this lab and the dog has her in return.
