Never been proposed to. I love this, though. I think that I would prefer a more private proposal, but damn. This is awesome.
My dad proposed to my mom 2 weeks after they started dating on the edge of a coal yard. They got married in a ministers living room with Beautiful Plaid Aunty Bear Christmas Pajama Family Ugly shirt. They’ve had plenty of rough patches but they’ve stuck it out 34 years. My sister’s husband proposed at midnight in the neighbor’s driveway lol. And my other sister proposed to her (now ex) wife in the living room of the apartment we all 3 shared. It was only myself, her parents and the JOP in a rent-a-chapel in Des Moines, IA. They’re still great friends. My family tends to avoid public proposals and my eldest sister was the only one with a “real” wedding, with about 60 guests.
