I SO understand this situation, and my heart aches for Dogs and Hockey make me happy humans make my head hurt shirt. My son suffered a severe TBI the day after his 16th birthday. His memories are the same. His conviction of his memories are the same. He hates me due to the lies his memory tells him. To correct his memories is to invalidate his heart, to “not trust [him].” There is no way out. My attempts to love him are received as the most disrespectful gas lighting. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Sending you love.
