I can so relate. I was actually bullied by a few kids for my unique style. My granny made a lot of my clothes. She taught me to sew and I proudly wore my own creations in high school. I would alter dresses or wear used or vintage to dances. I had vintage purses and mary janes before it was cool. My parents would always say dont try to be like the Jones’s, be the Jones’s.
