While I truly love and admire this story, SHOUT OUT to all of the April girl i’m not getting old i am just becoming a classic shirt and gay couples who are parents, single parents, and widowers. There are plenty and plenty of cases where a 2nd parental figure of a different gender than the first is not there, for whatever reason. What I totally disagree with, is the incessant argument that children WILL be damaged, insecure, or unable in some way just because they didn’t have a father or mother figure around. I grew up with both my parents, but my dad (while he was there all the time) was no father figure. It may be sad that some children don’t have a mother or father, but that should not mean that those children should turn out badly.
