This scares me, my daughter is 10 and on the spectrum and My kids are always in retrograde shirt. She wants nothing more then to be normal and to be liked. She can’t/ won’t advocate for herself. I do my best to advocate for her and teach her to be independent but I can’t always be there. She is so smart and yet she thinks she is stupid. She is always thinking and assuming the worst. If it isn’t perfect then it’s a failure. When she thinks she has messed up she judges herself sooo harshly. My only saving grace is she tells me EVERYTHING, and I won’t give up on making her see what a bright light she is in this world.
