Death is sad, all around. But to the people saying “there were other people on the RIP Kobe Bryant LA Legends T-Shirt, NoT jUsT kObe” yes there were. But if you came to me and told me “some stranger named Bill died today in Minnesota” I probably wouldn’t be too choked up about it because I didn’t know them. The reason people get so upset when a celebrity dies is because they’ve felt an EMOTIONAL connection with them. Kobe was someone’s idol, someone’s hero. I’m sure a lot of guys looked up to him as little boys. There’s where the difference lies. The emotional connection that some feel to the celebrity. You can’t tell people how to feel. They just do.
