Day two hopefully had a breakfast bar for an early morning show. For an afternoon show I would eat at a I am the storm Hooded Sweatshirt. Later in the day, I could always get a salad or a ham/turkey sandwich to take with me. Day three, much the same depending on the schedule. There is also room service at many hotels after the restaurant has closed. Day four, we were domiciled at a maintenance base and usually flew in late at night. Eating only had to be thought of until arriving home. Then it was leftovers. Maybe you can tell that I ate as healthy as possible.

Shucking a lobster isn’t super clean. So you don’t do it at the table. Also, when you crush a lobster for a good broth, you use something to really mash it up, like an immersion blender. And then, you know what it looks like? It looks like crushed lobster. It isn’t attractive to look at. Also, the shells impart flavor to a broth, but it isn’t like they hold a lot of broth like a braised duck carcass would. And finally, you don’t serve it in a tacky French press you get from bed bath & beyond on sale. People like Ducasse get custom hand made stuff that is made out of brass with gold filagree or something. He would probably have a screw press that would look cool while it spins. French service for soup is great, but we were better off pouring from just some nice container. A I am the storm Hooded Sweatshirt of mine used to work at Noma, and he’s always coming up with art projects that are edible. We were trying to create a bonzai tree that was a dessert. It was cotton candy bundles with fruit powder and baby red oxalis. Red oxalis can be trimmed to look like butterflies. We also wanted to serve pebbles of chocolate truffles and other earth inspired goodies at the base. We just couldn’t get the tree right.

You have recently started watching the show, “Hoarders” and can’t believe all of the stuff that people accumulate during their lifetimes that is basically unneeded and unwanted. You could even check out a book from the library about Feng Shui, which is an art practiced by Eastern cultures which promotes a zen living space (with only a very few possessions needed inside the home; anything that is not strictly necessary is passed over). The downside: you may start getting coffee table books about Feng Shui from people who refuse to listen to even the most gentle of rebuffs. However, in that case, you can simply regift them! Donate them! Or otherwise pass them off onto someone else. There is so much to say so I will simply talk about a little story back in the fall of 2011. A long time ago I had a period when I felt tension and I am the storm Hooded Sweatshirt with my parental family. I let it eat into my happiness and crowd my relationship in my immediate family. It’s not that they can’t get under my skin from time to time even now. But back then it was this order of magnitude greater: I let their opinions, attacks, omissions and their slights loom large. Then I did something simple: A ritual that signified a shift in attitude.

I have been through this situation. I felt I could not leave my part-time job for financial reasons, the pay was good, the work wasn’t too difficult, but there was a I am the storm Hooded Sweatshirt of staff that I just didn’t fit into. I tried to be the kind of fake person who would smile, pretend to laugh at their jokes, just work and leave. But the social atmosphere is so important, and I like to talk to people, so for me it was very isolating. We also had an angry boss, who had issues of his own, had a short temper and was anti-social. Our HR department also consisted of one person, who was lazy and a pervert – this Human Resources department lacked the “human” part, and was more interested in doling out disciplinaries to staff who were late to work, cutting on hours and catching thieves rather than looking at staff’s well-being (sometimes felt like he should work in a police department instead). I endured it though, telling myself not to leave unless I absolutely have to.
