The only way to create a maintainable military is to feed it with good food, maintain its materiel, train its soldiers, improve its morale, ensure it is trustworthy, persist “generational” knowledge, allow it to research and adapt, and of course supply it with advanced tools and weapons. Last but definitely not least, you have to “supply” the military with high-quality personnel. So the funny thing is that countries with better militaries tend to be more liberal and tolerant and therefore less of a threat. When my children were young we’d put them on the Christmas Tree the week before Christmas, as additional decorations. Each child could eat one candy cane each day the week before Christmas. We’d take the last two canes down on Christmas Eve and place them with cookies on a plate, so that Santa Claus could have two candy canes too. He could then have one for himself and one for Mrs Claus. Sharing is part of the Christmas spirit. Left over candy canes would be crushed and then used as an ice cream topping, as a topping for whipped cream on various desserts, in cookie recipes and as a frosting topping on cakes. Whole candy canes would also be served as a stirrer with hot chocolate. Peppermint is one of my favorite flavors, so I must admit, I’d eat several candy canes too. Candy Canes never went to waste in our family. You can use Candy Canes for crafts too. I have made a wreath from small wrapped candy canes and a wreath form. Directions are available on line. You also attach a Looks Great Little Full Lotta Sap Shirt scissors on ribbon to the wreath. People then cut off the canes for a sweet treat. I’ve made these for my office door and for a holiday party. You can decorate a wrapped candy cane with google eyes and felt trim to look like a rein deer, angel or Santa. We’re not vegetarian by all means. We had 2 friends that are. It was just the 5 of us. We made a turkey, they brought a Looks Great Little Full Lotta Sap Shirt. We made all the sides. I made everything with vegetable stock. I made a double serving of stuffing and omitted the sausage from half (not cooked together). I fancy up my green bean casserole and it has been widely received, even potluck people ask for it. I left out the bacon and crumbled it in a bowl on the side for us carnivores. Mashed potatoes, no changes, thank God they’re not vegans. Cranberry sauce, homemade, no changes! Gravy? They brought their own, we made delicious turkey gravy! I can’t remember if we made a pea puree or creamed pearl onions, either one, vegetarian. Dessert, no issues, I made a pumpkin cheesecake. All in all, a very successful meal!

A few long, uncomfortable months later, our angry boss left the company. He was rumoured to have been pushed out by the social clique which, like me, he didn’t fit into at all. Saying that, I also got on better with him socially, compared to the clique. It’s just a shame he was angry and swore and spoke to everyone like shit. This happened not long after he swore at me and made me cry at a meeting, believe it or not, on top everything else I was going through… So when he left, I was ecstatic, everyone was, including the clique. For a few weeks, we would all cheer and joke about him disdainfully – for a moment, I chimed in on a Looks Great Little Full Lotta Sap Shirt subject with the clique, and had genuine fun about it.
